Description
Interleukin 13 Receptor alpha 1 (IL13RA1) is part of the interleukin 13 (IL-13) receptor complex expressed on the surface of various cells, including immune cells, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts. Cytokine induced signaling via IL13RA1 promotes T helper 2 (Th2) mediated immunes responses, including eradication of helminths, regulation of inflammation as well as tissue remodeling and repair. Furthermore, IL13RA1 is associated with a variety of inflammatory diseases and cancer types.
